Gentlefans,

This is the sign up post for writers and artists wishing to take part in the Fest. Sign ups open now and close on Monday 20th August at midnight, British Summer Time - not much time, I know, but we are not a huge community (yet).

By Sunday 26th August you will have your assignments.

Latest submission date is Sunday 7th October.

Posting (anon) starts on Monday, 15th October and ends on 29th October. Reveal post 1st November.

If you are going to be late submitting, please let me, methylviolet10b or spacemutineer know either in a comment to this post or via PM and we'll offer an extension. Offers of pinch hitters gratefully received.

Type of work(s) you are willing to offer e.g. fic, art, icons [minimum 10 icons please]. If fic, *rough* idea of how long it is likely to be, e.g. under 1000 words, 1000 to 5000, over 5000 [blimey]. We have no minimum word limit for fics but something reasonably substantial would be nice.
What you are comfortable working with as a creator - e.g. gen, het, slash, particular pairings/multiples, casefic, humour, h/c, angst, preferred tropes or kinks [please list], etc: we encourage as much latitude as possible to make it easier to match and because variety is good.
What you would definitely prefer NOT to work with - as above
What you would like to receive - type(s) of fanwork, preferences as above
What you would definitely NOT enjoy receiving - exclusions as above

Crossover fic and art is welcome, but there must be substantial ACD Holmes content, please.
Icons - may be based on any of the original illustrations to the ACD stories - not just Sidney Paget's. Camden House has a very full collection.

Type of work(s) you are willing to offer: fiction (prob between 1000 and 2000 words; can also do drabble series up to 10 drabbles)
What you are comfortable working with: gen preferred although can do nonexplicit slash; casefic; humor; h/c; angst; crossovers with Dr. Who or Star Trek (or pretty much any late Vic/early Edwardian lit like Dorian Gray or Phantom or Dracula or Raffles or ... yeah); AUs on Canon; missing scenes; supernatural.
What you would definitely prefer NOT to work with: explicit slash sexy sex scenes. Also not great with Moriarty's Network stories, too much plotting.
What you would like to receive: fic. Watson stories preferred but any characters ok. I like h/c, angst, humor, casefic, supernatural, thriller, shameless fluff. Given the time of year a scary story would not go amiss ;)
