Gentlefans,

This is the sign up post for writers, podficcers and artists wishing to take part in round 2 of the ACD HolmesFest. Sign ups open now and close on Monday 28 January at midnight, Greenwich Mean Time.



By Sunday 3rd February you will have your assignments.

Latest submission date is Monday, 18th March, midnight Greenwich Mean Time. If you are in any doubt of meeting it or need to drop out, please let one of the mods know *straight away* so we can reassign. If you are going to be only a little late submitting, please let us know either in a comment to this post or via PM/mods email account (acdholmesfestmods@gmail.com), letting us know how near it is to ready, and we'll offer an extension, but you must commit to meet this or all our hair will spontaneously go white and drop out, possibly not in that order. Offers of pinch hitters gratefully received now or in future.

Posting (anon) starts on Friday 22nd March, and ends on Saturday 6th April. Reveal post Monday 8th April.

Crossovers are welcome, but there must be substantial ACD Holmes content, please.
Icons or macros - may be based on any of the original illustrations to the ACD stories - not just Sidney Paget's. Camden House has a very full collection.

Type of work(s) you are willing to offer: Fic, at least 5k words
What you are comfortable working with as a creator: Holmes/Watson preferred, can write romantic friendship; any rating okay; PWP, casefic, humor, hurt/comfort, romance, drugs, can write kink (D/s elements, bondage, spanking/pain play, object insertion, teasing/denial, etc), first time or established relationship, sympathetic towards Mary but not afraid to play Granada!canon and ignore her. Most tropes are welcome with the exception of Prefer Nots below.
What you would definitely prefer NOT to work with: No non-canon character death (or "death"), not very good at heavy angst, no non- or dub-con, no dark!fic.

What you would like to receive: Fic, please! Holmes/Watson preferred. Established relationship always fun, but would also be super into a first time fic as described below (not obligatory). I like snarking and domesticity and danger! and action! and Watson being a BAMF and Holmes relying on him. I like every point on the timeline, and would read 1880's H&W and 1920's H&W with equal enthusiasm. Kinks not necessary but always enjoyed include wrestling/oneupmanship, spanking, public or semi-public intimacy, light bondage, intelligence kink, teasing and denial. \o/
What you would definitely NOT enjoy receiving: Exclusions as above.
Any other information you would like to add: I'm really in the mood right now for Holmes as the instigator of a relationship: pursuing Watson, charming him, trying to build their friendship into something more. I want Holmes in love and going after what he wants, sure of himself, etc. I don't want a wilting flower sort of Watson, either. Reluctant or uncertain is okay, but not in distress or manipulated: willing to go along with it because he trusts Holmes. Maybe Three Continents Watson really did only conquer the ladies and has to be taught the joys of sodomy, or something silly like that. Awkward first-time a bonus. I want sweet and sexy with happy endings all around. Something like this set against the ground of a case (even a sketch of one) would be downright magical.
