Oh, that was such a pleasure to listen to, dear podficcer! The story you told was absolutely the story I meant to tell -- you did a beautiful job bringing it to life. And it's much realer to me in your voice than it ever was on the page -- such gentleness between Mary and Kate, and such loving humour between Mary and John! And I love your take on Mary -- I don't think I realised how much she teases and makes little tension-easing jokes (sometimes wickedly pointed ones!), until I heard her in your voice.

And the editing is gorgeous. I love the music you chose, and I thought all your decisions about when to deploy music and when to deploy SFX were spot-on. And the dramatic musical interlude you inserted after "It was my turn to go ashen"...! Oh, I liked that. I fully support your choice to let that moment breathe.

Again, you did such a beautiful job with this. You understood the story I meant to tell and you made it REAL, and I'm just silly with delight.

This was a beautiful rendering of a beautiful story. The quiet restraint of the reading suited perfectly the quiet restraint of Mary and Kate and John. The musical breaks and framing were charming and I loved the sound effects. It's been a while since I read the story and it was lovely to revisit it in this format. Thank you!
