Oh, this is simply breath-taking. So gorgeously intimate and tender! Ah, their faces!! So caught up in one another, with their eyes closed and Holmes's lips tracing Watson's cheek as if his kiss is a whispered secret they both cherish. Watson's lips just slightly parted on a gentle gasp. And I love the way they're reaching for each other, Watson's palm spread warmly against Holmes's collarbone, just beginning to brush beneath his robe; Holmes's hand at Watson's hip to pull him closer. Everything about this beautiful image makes me feel that they are on the cusp of joy and passion, and it's such a lovely moment to contemplate -- full of anticipation, yet also completely satisfying in itself. They are together, they are in love. And there's even something romantic in the elegant curl of that chaise lounge, and the fall of the light and shadows over them. Your art is so evocative and emotional; absolutely stunning.
Thank you so much for this beautiful, beautiful piece. I adore it!
So beautiful and intense! I love their expressions and body language and the way the light makes the cloth and the wood shine. The curve of the settee is so sensuous and the strong, dark strokes make their bodies almost seem to merge, fully clothed or not!
This is so beautifully intimate that I feel as if I am peeking into a private moment in Holmes & Watson's world. Your style conjures up Sidney Paget which simply adds to the canon feel. Thank you for sharing this: the tenderness and genteel passion.
Oh my god, gorgeous. The stark, sweeping black lines and the softness of the scene those lines make... The skillful detail, such expression in the hints of their eyes, their fingers disappearing beneath fabric... Mmm, this is amazing work. We're very lucky to have you, Artist.
