If you are in any doubt of meeting the submission deadline or need to drop out, please let one of the mods know *straight away* so we can reassign. If you are going to be only a little late submitting, please let us know via PM/mods email account (acdholmesfestmods@gmail.com), letting us know how near it is to ready, and we'll offer an extension, but you must commit to meet this or the mods will run amok and that is not a pretty sight, let me tell you.

What you are comfortable working with as a creator: - e.g. gen, het, slash, particular pairings/multiples, casefic, humour, h/c, angst, preferred tropes or kinks [please list], how high a rating will you go, etc: we encourage as much latitude as possible to make it easier to match and because variety is good.

Crossovers are welcome, but there must be majority ACD Holmes content, please.
Icons or macros - may be based on any of the original illustrations to the ACD stories - not just Sidney Paget's. Camden House has a very full collection.

What you are comfortable working with as a creator:
gen, PG-13, character-study, friendship, symbolism
am okay with steampunk fusions set in the canon time period, that just adds an extra challenge
(If you are confused as to what I mean by "abstract/symbolic" here are some examples of my work from other fests)
What you would definitely prefer NOT to work with:
slash, sex, main character death, illustration of specific scenes, fluff, graphic violence

What you would like to receive: fic or art
In all cases, gen!
If fic: casefic/adventure, plotty, with friendship, the Holmes-is-the-Mind-and-Watson-is-the-Heart trope, character-building as outcome of (shared) adversity, Holmes waxing philosophical, Holmes and Watson working together with mutual appreciation of each others' strengths
If art: character-focused, expressive, emotional - don't mind whether it's standalone or portrait or illustration of a particular scene, so long as it focuses on the characterisation of Holmes or the characterisation of Watson or the relationship between them
What you would definitely NOT enjoy receiving:
slash, sex, main character death, Watson-is-a-bumbling-fool, partner betrayal, fluff, disturbing/unhappy ending
