Seriously, Holmes' face! Can you imagine a happier expression? I know I can't! They look so.... gah, so happy and content and all the fluffy things! The atmosphere is highlighted by the bright colors of the picture. I like how Holmes is smiling while Watson's eyes are closed, as if he's going to pretend he didn't have a look of pure bliss on his face when Watson opens his eyes. Basically, I love this picture, if your haven't guessed. Than you, anon!
Seriously, I love this. Those two saps just adore each other.
Old Married Couple is my favorite slash trope in the world. (This may have some connection with the fact that my parents just observed their 64th anniversary...)
S'okay, we're all artists here, we understand the anxiety. Did I mention I love the amount of detail you put into the picture? Every time I look I see something new; the Persian slipper, the VR on the wall, Watson's slipper... really good stuff!
Thanks for the link - that is a beautiful picture. I like the details of the pictures on the wall, Mycroft, General Gordon, possibly Mrs. Norton. And first and foremost I'm a tenderness junkie - I love the little touches in a loving relationship.
Please don't be upset because that picture was gorgeous even in its original version. I loved it.

That is absolutely fantastic! I adore the colors. The way they're both curled into each other, so cozy. All the details are gorgeous too: the wallpaper, the ornamentation on the furniture, the penknife, the portraits... even the chess diagram in the newspaper! I can see a lot of love went into this. :)
Oh, this is really absolutely adorable. I really admire this style of yours. All the little details and the happiness of Holmes and Watson ... aaawww ^w^
Oh my god, the details. The knife, the slipper, the VR. We know we're post hiatus, because look -- it's Holmes' wax head! Awesome. Look at that newspaper, with the text and a puzzle even! Wow. Watson has his yellow-backed novel, and I think that might be sweet, sadly lost Mary, bundling her hands into a muff for warmth in one of the photos on the wall. There's so much more here -- now I want an annotated version!
This is gorgeous. I love your attention to detail. (Especially Watson's portrait of Henry Ward Beecher. Clever sneaking in the BBC wallpaper too! Yes, it is the little details that are most telling.) But since I am reputed to be somewhat evil, I expect to see Mrs Hudson burst into the room and chastise Holmes for having his shoes on the furniture.
The colours and the style are utterly delicious - like everyone else I can only applaud the amount of detail there is in the picture. And it's lovely to see the chaps so happy and content ^^
I can only echo the sentiments of all the commenters before me: love the meticulous details, the cozy intimacy of the scene, the sweet, contented expressions. Brava!
This is gorgeous work. It looks like a cell from a classic Disney film - all the details, all the layers, all gorgeously and painstakingly rendered. And the characterization is just as rich as all the rest. Fabulous!
I LOVE your Holmes and Watson so much, it's ridiculous. This one is the most perfect domestic picture, I adore every tiny detail (THE BUST). Beyond excited for you to post it on tumblr after the reveal so that I can reblog it!!! Sigh, wonderful, your art is so great.
Oh, this is sweet and there are so many great details! I love the newsprint and the Persian slipper, the knife and the curled paper around the bullet holes, the picture of Irene Adler and the slice of the Reichenbach Falls. There's even book tags! This is such a delight!
