it's that time of the year again, when cabs clatter through the rain-soaked streets, the Irregulars are on the move (especially one of them, heh), Holmes and Watson are staying indoors solving crimes (amongst other pursuits) and crime is commonplace but logic israre much less fun .

Sign ups close Monday 8th September, Midnight British Summer Time. Assignments should be with you by 15 September latest. Submission date is Saturday 25th October, midnight Greenwich Mean Time

What you are comfortable working with as a creator: - e.g. gen, het, slash, particular pairings/multiples, casefic, humour, h/c, angst, preferred tropes or kinks [please list], how high a rating will you go, etc: we encourage as much latitude as possible to make it easier to match and because variety is good.

What you would like to receive: - type(s) of fanwork, preferences as above. If art, please do not specify only wanting your fic illustrated. Not all artists like to do that.

Crossovers are welcome, but there must be majority ACD Holmes content, please.

Type of work(s) you are willing to offer: Fic
What you are comfortable working with as a creator: - gen, slash, het, or friendship, any rating to R, centered on the perfectly matched partnership of Holmes and Watson. For themes, I like: character studies; exploring what-ifs and the unanswered questions of canon; elements of the supernatural or sci-fi or horror played with a straight face; love and longing and belonging in any stage of a relationship. UST (potentially moving to RST), angst and hurt/comfort are always particular favorites. I like an emotional-on-the-inside analytical scientist Holmes and a smart, brave, good-hearted Doctor Watson.
What you would definitely prefer NOT to work with: In-depth casefic, fluff, fic tropes like omega or kidfic etc., and anything especially kinky or hardcore. Sex is possible, pr0n is not.
What you would like to receive: Fic. See my favorite themes/elements above. Mostly, I want to feel something. Give me love, give me fear, give me sadness, anger, relief, frustration, whatever emotions compel you. Happy ending, unhappy ending, doesn't matter. I just want to feel something powerful with the characters along the way.
Here are a few random prompt ideas from my idea pile, but please feel free to go your own way:
- Moriarty threatens Holmes' Irregulars: "Do not play pawns you are unwilling to sacrifice."
- Holmes has terrible nightmares after DEVI, but refuses to talk about it with concerned Watson
- Holmes steals Watson's pocket watch in Switzerland to have one small link to his life during his hiatus
- A panicked Holmes brings Mycroft to Watson with some kind of medical emergency
- Watson develops the ability to read minds but Holmes' mind is an overwhelming cacophony of thoughts
