Gentlefans,

it's that time of the year again, when cabs clatter through the rain-soaked streets, the Irregulars are on the move (especially one of them, heh), Holmes and Watson are staying indoors solving crimes (amongst other pursuits) and crime is commonplace but logic is rare much less fun .

If you are in any doubt of meeting the submission deadline or need to drop out, please let one of the mods know *straight away* so we can reassign. If you are going to be only a little late submitting, please let us know via PM/mods email account (acdholmesfestmods@gmail.com), letting us know how near it is to ready, and we'll offer an extension, but you must commit to meet this or all our hair will spontaneously go white and drop out, possibly not in that order, and I hate housework.

Crossovers are welcome, but there must be majority ACD Holmes content, please.
Icons or macros - may be based on any of the original illustrations to the ACD stories - not just Sidney Paget's. Camden House has a very full collection.

Type of work(s) you are willing to offer: fic, of or about 5000 words
What you are comfortable working with as a creator: Holmes/Watson slash is my usual, but I have a soft spot for Holmes/Watson/Mary. Established or new relationship OK, any time period (young gents getting their feet wet or old retired dorks keeping bees); happy to write adult content (be it PWP or within a longer fic), kink (bondage, spanking, caning, hair-pulling, fingering, oral sex, anal sex, "manual favors", penetrative sex not being the be-all-end-all of experiences, delay/denial, coming-in-pants, oh god, I don't know, I'll write anything), and BDSM (or! if it's the requester's jam, asexual Holmes/Watson). Light hurt/comfort (getting into fights!), snarking, humor, domesticity, casefic (ha ha i'll try), smart!Watson, UST becoming RST, flirting & teasing, virgin!Holmes, 3C Watson, idiots in love.

Could/would also write explicit or implicit Holmes/Trevor and/or Holmes/Stackhurst. But there will almost certainly be Holmes/Watson tones to them, because I'm pathetic.

I'd write canon H/W omegaverse if anyone asked for it. :DDDDDD???? No one?

What you would definitely prefer NOT to work with: non-canonical character death ("death"), infidelity, heavy angst, non- or dub-con situations, torture, gore. Writing a story that is not H/W (or H&W) centric does not thrill me.

What you would like to receive: Art or fic! Please and thank you.

For art:
I like slash, and would love smut if the artist is comfortable. Consulting husbands a must, or at the very least implied. An illustration or cover of a fic of mine would be amazing, but is not necessary. Comics and humor and silliness! Or very serious, thoughtful art. I don't know.

For fic: Kinks and interests as above. I prefer my Watson smart enough to banter with Holmes even if he doesn't see every clue, and my Holmes emotionally aware if not super warm and cuddly. I like it when they do the do. I like it when they're pretty kinky (not required), but honestly I don't care who tops or whatever. I also like it when ace!Holmes puts up with Watson's sexuality but Watson respects his boundaries.

Specific scenarios that would thrill me:
- drunk idiots rolling around in the grass on a picnic in Sussex, possibly smooching
- cuddling or snarking on a stakeout
- Watson not taking Holmes's shit
- wax bust jokes
- disguises!
- domestic scenes (fireplace, violin, house slippers, lounging)
- sex
- let there be sex
- and drunkenness

What you would definitely NOT enjoy receiving: - exclusions as above
