I can hardly hope that these scant words do justice to your 10,000, but let me say I thoroughly enjoyed the depth and nuance and sheer volume of research that went into all the aspects of this: from Thucydides, to establishing their positions before and during the war, all of it. You built suspense so well throughout that I read each entry with heart-fluttery excitement as if I had just received a letter from a loved one.
I like that they get very much more personal in these letters than they perhaps ever have in person (stories about childhood, worries about Mycroft's risk of suicide, finally asking questions left too long unsaid, etc). It seems to often happen that a certain frankness and closeness comes only though the protection of the written word, doesn't it?
Anyway, I shall probably have more to say once the author has been revealed, but for now I will end with: This is a colossal achievement and I hope you are justly very proud. Bravo!
