The loving banters, mutual deductions (and about the history of seed cake and Watson), then the naughty thoughts about tables...what fun.
Who would ever think to write such a moving piece about the gift of baking a seed cake and the comfort it brings? I loved it from Watson's puzzled thoughts as to why Holmes has brought him to the kitchen to Watson's revelation on why he's there. Then there is how you unfold revelations to the readers... I love the tender moments between them and how you spooned them out! Delicious!
I loved the ending most: "he is a wicked man and I am a hopeless romantic" Yes! May they bake "seed" cake forever.
