I have so much feelings about your story that I just want to burst into a mixture of swearing and religious gushing that would offend pretty much everyone. So I'll just try to be coherent and say that this was superb in every respect. From the atmosphere of a Victorian seaside resort (not that I've been to one back then, but I am sure, sure that's what it must have felt like) through the astonishing amount of detail that, again, I am sure would hold against any scrutiny...to Holmes and Watson, of course. Beautiful, three-dimensional creations whose characterisation, individually and as a couple, is simply sublime. Their lines alone made me gape at the screen in delight and awe. (I mean "“Did you observe his beaux yeux?”/“To hell with his beaux yeux!” said I." There are no words.♥)

I was holding my breath throughout half of the story, breaking the surface to gulp a bit, and down I went again with yet another detail or a nuance or a layer demanding my absorption. One of the highlights of this fest for me and that says something, what with everyone raising the bar higher and higher. Thank you for the fantastic story!
