Yes-- and I daresay Watson too. I have a suspicion even if the names of the main characters were changed a maid, butler, or other downstairs servant wouldn't be bothered with much of the time. When you start thinking about it, the rate of individuals who would have possibly lost jobs or livelihoods is likely very high indeed. (I certainly wouldn't keep a maid who might reveal my secrets, and provide a way for a break in if she was sweet on someone after all.)
