Oh hurrah, I'm so glad you liked this! It was fun to put together, particularly the research into Victorian spiritualists and mediums. I knew Holmes' view on things as written here was quite contradictory to ACD's own (except for the part about abhorring hoaxers, of course). And I'm tickled to death that I got bonus points for Mary, harrumph, and particularly ipecacuanha. It was a staple in medicine cabinets when I was growing up, just in case someone (particularly a child) ate something they shouldn't. I can't speak to its effectiveness as an expectorant, but as for that other usage...oh boy!
