Classic Sherlock Holmes fanworks exchange

I am so thrilled that you liked the story. I was anxious about the tone. I do so like the way they speak to one another in the stories. I was hopeful about the flowery angle though, when I learned that you are a keen gardener. ;-) The book I have of flower meanings is dated 1913, so seemed of a suitable era, although there is such variation among sources, that people must have been in a lot of peril of misunderstanding when they communicated that way on delicate subjects.
