Whew! What an enchanting garden of delights in this story. I love that you not only wove in the language of flowers, but also their chemical and sensual effects on humans. Holmes was definitely stacking the deck in his favor with the intoxicant (datura fragrance), but then of course he would. Not that he needed to, and it's clear that he knew that as well. Well done!
