Classic Sherlock Holmes fanworks exchange

I so enjoyed this ^_^ I loved seeing Hopkins taking centre stage, and it was wonderful having a look at Holmes and Watson's relationship from the outside. I loved all the little details in the story - the nods to Hopkins' adoration of Holmes (I also noticed the "informative monograph about ashes" ^^), Holmes and Watson arguing about G & S while Mr Barnes thinks they are discussing him, Holmes making a new conquest with Carson, the "well-travelled sandwich" ^^

Also, I admired the way you handled the plot - using almost farcical humour for the multiple confessions aspect but never allowing the story to become ridiculous or silly. Excellent stuff.
