Oh so very nicely done. I always appreciate a story about the Irregulars, so the first story was a pleasure. The second story made me snigger, as I imagined Holmes keeping those officials waiting. And the third...oh, the third. Holmes contemplating a boot that can't tell him any more than he already knows! Quite brilliant, and it was such a relief that Watson was not so gravely injured that we were deprived of a happy ending.
