What a gorgeous style ^^ I love the texture of Holmes' dressing gown and the way the sheet is gathered where it's tucked in. (You know you're getting old when, on being presented with a picture involving Holmes, Watson and a bed, you think: gosh, aren't the sheets well drawn ^^)

There is a serene elegance to this scene and many beautiful details, like the landscape in the picture on the wall and the dripping wax on the candle. What I think I like most though is considering Watson's view and how his hand approaches in response to it.

oh, my goodness! what a delightful look on Holmes' face! it's indescribably delicious -- kind of bemused, a little bewildered, no, not quite; it is cat-that-ate-the-canary? is he holding back the biggest idiot grin? THAT's it: they are both holding back their smiles. Watson's creeping little finger is adorable, too. I am charmed to near fainting, dear artist.
