Now I finally found a quiet moment to read this - and it's so beautiful, thank you! What a lovely introspective piece that gives us a lot of insight into Holmes' emotions and shows us what he cares about, and how much he actually does.Watson, Mycroft, that garden he visited as a child - I love that quirky brain attic and what it says about him. And also the bee references that made so much sense here.
I also felt like Holmes' isolation was shining through. He hadn't really been able to share his thoughts with someone for nearly three years, and to me it seemed like his visits to the brain attic were partly a way to cope with that.
Anyway, this was a lovely read. Thank you, dear anon!
