This is a lovely look at what the slowing down of old age does to men like Holmes and Watson - and also what parts of them never change despite the way their bodies are betraying them. Watson's inability to stay on topic was quietly charming, and I adore how much their love for each other permeates everything they do. I also always love a Watson who knows how to keep his Holmes occupied, as well as a Holmes who is willing to protect his Watson from both mortal danger and stiff legs.
