For fic, as above, I like explorations of canon, and concentration on puzzles and detection, stories based on the more esoteric Holmes skills – horse whispering, pugilism, obscure knowledge of American customs, etc. I’d love to see Holmes tackle some of the tropes of later detective fiction: The Body in the Library, the Missing Will, The house (or train) cut off by snow, the investigation of an historical mystery.
