I'm so pleased you like it! It was a perfect assignment, really, because it seems that our tastes run along similar lines. I love ghost stories, spooky adventures, quirky Holmes, brave Watson and competent Lestrade. So it was really fun to write! :)
ETA: Have you read "Rivers of London" by Ben Aaronovitch? I was vaguely inspired by the idea that there's a special, one-man department of the Met - or, in this case, the Yard - that deals with supernatural proceedings (and would appreciate Holmes to keep his nose out of it). The series is much darker than SH, but if you like spooky tales, perhaps you'd like it as well.
