Holmes through Watson's eyes is the consummate seducer: Preening for his audience, drawing him in, every action calculated to one purpose. Well, how else would Holmes be expected to go about it?

Lines to die for: "The West End streets were crowded with people doing exactly what we were doing. Well, perhaps not exactly."

And then this, so Watson: "I had clearly been waiting for his attention." The call back to the curtain rising on the third act, which had also been seemingly awaiting Holmes' attention. Wonderful.
