You know what the best part about this altogether excellent casefic is? The fact you DIDN'T call it The Madness of Colonel Warburton, and in fact never used the word madness at all. Brilliant. It's terrific that the canon reference here is entirely hidden in plain sight, like the letter in the case, waiting for an ACD Sherlockian reader to notice it with delight.
