Gentlefans,

it's that time of the year again, when cabs clatter through the rain-soaked streets, the Irregulars are on the move (especially one of them, heh), Holmes and Watson are staying indoors solving crimes (amongst other pursuits) and crime is commonplace but logic is rare much less fun .

Sign ups close Monday 8th September, Midnight British Summer Time. Assignments should be with you by 15 September latest. Submission date is Saturday 25th October, midnight Greenwich Mean Time

If you are in any doubt of meeting the submission deadline or need to drop out, please let one of the mods know *straight away* so we can reassign. If you are going to be only a little late submitting, please let us know via PM/mods email account (acdholmesfestmods@gmail.com), letting us know how near it is to ready, and we'll offer an extension, but you must commit to meet this or all our hair will spontaneously go white and drop out, possibly not in that order, and I hate housework.

Crossovers are welcome, but there must be majority ACD Holmes content, please.
Icons or macros - may be based on any of the original illustrations to the ACD stories - not just Sidney Paget's. Camden House has a very full collection.

Type of work(s) you are willing to offer: fic
What you are comfortable working with as a creator: gen, slash (Holmes/Watson), any rating, slight h/c, light romance, background-case fic (I am terrible at writing mystery so any case included, which I often do, is in the background rather than the foreground), retirement era, holidays--either going on one or specific celebrations (e.g. Christmas), everyday life, kink wise: what I do write is kind of long so if my assignee has a lot of things I can work with I can skip what I don't do
What you would definitely prefer NOT to work with: stick with the above and I'm good. But if my assignee has more than a few things of what they like, I'm good at skipping what I can't/won't write

What you would like to receive: fic!, early morning waking up/kissing hello/gentle slow sex, fireside sex (either on the rug or settee), background case--I prefer the relationship to be the foreground; I'm always interested in how they interact/the everyday way they live/how they love, I love if the fic starts as ACD wrote the stories but also love when the fic gently fades into non-journal style, light romance, quiet intensity (the kind that gives you the warm fuzzies and maybe ties you up in what's going on and possibly almost breaks your heart and you can't breath and then it all shatters and comes back together and then all the feels), kissing--not so much snogging but that length between a 'hi there' and snog and especially if this happens post coital, era after Holmes' return, prefer the characters to be quite settled into their home and relationship and selves (period bachelors preferred, too), characters who are so comfortable in their love that they might laugh during sex, sharing meals, Watson tending to Holmes post boxing (would love a scene of the boys at an event), naked candoodling (e.g. lazy kisses and touches post sex)
What you would definitely NOT enjoy receiving: PWP, pining, heavy angst, heavy fluff, too much OOC, focus on mental health (so no cases at Bedlam for example) or addiction (it can be mentioned, but nothing more please), anything more than a once passing mention to weight gain, and please avoid the usual squicks--e.g. golden showers--and I think we should be good
