Gentlefans,

it's that time of the year again, when cabs clatter through the rain-soaked streets, the Irregulars are on the move (especially one of them, heh), Holmes and Watson are staying indoors solving crimes (amongst other pursuits) and crime is commonplace but logic is rare much less fun .

Sign ups close Monday 8th September, Midnight British Summer Time. Assignments should be with you by 15 September latest. Submission date is Saturday 25th October, midnight Greenwich Mean Time

If you are in any doubt of meeting the submission deadline or need to drop out, please let one of the mods know *straight away* so we can reassign. If you are going to be only a little late submitting, please let us know via PM/mods email account (acdholmesfestmods@gmail.com), letting us know how near it is to ready, and we'll offer an extension, but you must commit to meet this or all our hair will spontaneously go white and drop out, possibly not in that order, and I hate housework.

Crossovers are welcome, but there must be majority ACD Holmes content, please.
Icons or macros - may be based on any of the original illustrations to the ACD stories - not just Sidney Paget's. Camden House has a very full collection.

fic: slash (Holmes/Watson), casefic, mystery, adventure, plotty stuff, angst, inexplicit sexual content, explicit sexual content, UST, RST, pining, established relationship
art: slash (Holmes/Watson) or gen, fic illustrations à la Sidney Paget for recipient's own fic, stand-alone art

What you would definitely prefer NOT to work with:
fic: gen, het, hurt/comfort, humour, schmoop, PWP, kinks, AUs, crossovers, anything with supernatural/fantasy elements
art: explicit sexual content, AUs, supernatural/fantasy elements

What you would like to receive: Fic, podfic or art. Holmes/Watson if you go for fic or podfic, please!
Fic: I'm open to reading pretty much anything that's not in the list below, so feel free to write whatever you enjoy yourself. Just as happy with G as NC-17 and vice versa. Just as happy with PWP as plotty casefic. So long as it's in character and Brit-picked(!), I'm sure I'll like it.
If you would like some guidance, things I particularly enjoy include: established relationships, Victoriana/historical details, angst, strongly plotted stories. But please don't feel you have to include ANY of that.
Podfic: Podfic would also be lovely, of anything I've written that's not already podficced, or of another Holmes/Watson fic whose author gives permission. I'm a big believer in all kinds of accents being great for podfic in all kinds of fandoms :)
Art: H/W or gen. If you'd like some guidance, I love Victoriana, the atmosphere of 19th century London, redbrick buildings in the fog, heavy mahogany furniture... Again, if you've got something completely different in mind, feel free to go for it and ignore what I just said. Just no nudity, please!

What you would definitely NOT enjoy receiving: mpreg, noncon, dubcon, incest, infidelity, AUs of the 'they're on a spaceship/in the 1930s/in ancient Greece' kind (I love AUs of the 'what if such-and-such a story didn't happen quite the way Watson told it' kind), crossovers, hurt/comfort, schmoop. No NSFW art, please.

Any other information you would like to add: Nothing, except that I'm very pleased it's holmesfest time again!
