Hurt/Comfort when written well is one of the most affecting genres, and you've done it great justice! Lovely story! All the details are so lovingly put in there and I found the chart of Watson's progression through his emotions very authentic and yes, affecting. Holmes was very much himself, too; it was quite a treat to follow Watson's focus constantly zooming in back on him. They're clearly so devoted to each other in their own ways in your story. It was a pleasure reading it!:)
