Holmes' cruelty can be a tricky thing, can't it? It's a part of his character that fascinates me. How can he be so compassionate at times, particularly with his clients, and yet so casually--even deliberately--cruel at others? Anyway, I'm very much in favour of a warts-and-all Holmes when it comes to fic! ;)
